Foundation Requirements — What to Prepare Before Our Engineer Arrives

A well-prepared site means faster installation. We send the complete civil requirements document 8 weeks before the equipment ships. Here is what every client needs to have ready.

🏗️
Concrete Floor — Minimum 200mm Reinforced concrete floor at minimum 200mm thickness for press machines. Heavier equipment (expanders, continuous refineries) may require 300mm with rebar. We specify exact load-bearing requirements per machine in the civil guide.
📏
Overhead Clearance Minimum clearance height varies by machine type: 4m for most pressing equipment, 6m for tall refinery columns, 8m+ for multi-floor solvent extraction plants. Confirm with your plant layout drawing.
Three-Phase Power Supply Three-phase supply at the correct local voltage and frequency, with a dedicated local distribution panel near the equipment. Breakers sized per our electrical specification. Single-phase will not power pressing equipment.
💨
Compressed Air (if applicable) Pneumatic filter presses and certain refinery equipment require 6–8 bar compressed air. A standard industrial air compressor (0.75–2.2 kW) is sufficient. We specify which machines need it in the utility connection drawing.
🏗️
Lifting Equipment Chain hoist (1–5 tonne capacity) or overhead crane for large machines. A standard forklift works for ground-level placement. Equipment weights are listed in the packing list — confirm your lifting capacity matches.
🔧
Hand Tools Standard metric spanner set (open-end and ring, 8–50mm), spirit level, plumb bob, measuring tape, angle grinder, and electric drill. Welding equipment if site-fabricated pipework is needed.

Civil Works Guide Included Free

For turnkey project clients, we provide a comprehensive civil works guide with floor plan dimensions, column spans, roof height requirements, door widths, drainage points, and electrical room specifications. Share this with your local contractor before you break ground.

Remote Video Support in Action

Dozens of plants are installed every year using only our remote WhatsApp video guidance. Here is a real example.

"During our 2023 installation of a 15 TPD sunflower plant in Zambia, the client completed the mechanical installation entirely with remote WhatsApp video guidance over 8 days. Our engineer called 2 hours each morning to review the previous day's work, answer questions, and guide the next steps. The plant was successfully commissioned without any on-site engineer."

WhatsApp Video
Live video calls let our engineers see exactly what you see — pointing out issues, verifying alignment, catching mistakes before they compound.

Daily Review
Morning review calls confirm previous day's work before moving forward. Nothing is left unclear overnight — prevents rework from misunderstandings.

Installation — Frequently Asked Questions

Everything clients ask before, during, and after receiving equipment. No question too technical.

Installation time depends on plant scale: 5–10 TPD mini mill: 3–5 days. 10–30 TPD semi-commercial: 5–10 days. 30–100 TPD turnkey: 10–20 days. 100+ TPD industrial plant: 20–40 days. These are mechanical installation times only. Commissioning (trial production, parameter optimization) adds 7–15 days after installation is complete.
Clients provide: (1) A 1–5 tonne chain hoist or overhead crane (or a forklift for ground-level placement), (2) Standard metric spanner set (open-end and ring, 8mm–50mm range), (3) Spirit level, plumb bob, and measuring tape, (4) Angle grinder and electric drill, (5) Welding equipment if any site-fabricated pipework is needed. All specialized installation tools specific to our equipment are brought by the SinoOil commissioning engineer.
Yes. All equipment comes with comprehensive installation drawings and step-by-step manuals. Many of our clients in Africa and Asia self-install with remote WhatsApp video guidance from our engineers. We recommend a competent local mechanical contractor familiar with industrial equipment for self-installation. For complex turnkey projects (50 TPD+), we strongly recommend on-site engineer support.
All equipment is shipped with full marine insurance. If damage occurs, we document it with photos, file an insurance claim, and ship replacement parts or equipment at no extra cost. We use professional export packing (wooden crating, moisture-proof packaging, international shipping marks) to minimize transit damage risk. In 15 years of shipping to 80+ countries, our transit damage rate is below 0.5%.
Yes. For turnkey project clients, we provide a civil works guide covering: floor plan dimensions, column positions and spans, roof height requirements by section, door widths for equipment entry, drainage points and floor slopes, and electrical room specifications. We recommend clients share this guide with their local civil contractor before building begins. The guide is provided as part of the free plant design consultation package.
