Custom Edible Oil Plant Layout Design —
Optimized for Your Space & Capacity

Before a single machine is ordered, we design your complete plant layout — equipment positions, material flow paths, utility connections, and safety zones. A well-designed layout can increase throughput by 15–25% vs a poorly planned one.

What Plant Layout Design Includes

Every layout package delivered by SinoOil covers all eight engineering deliverables needed to begin construction and installation planning.

2D Floor Plan Exact equipment positions and dimensions, engineering-accurate to ±50mm
Process Flow Diagram Seed-to-oil step-by-step process visualization
Material Flow Paths Seed, oil, meal, and by-product routing throughout the plant
Utility Routing Steam pipes, electrical conduit, and cooling water lines planned
Safety Clearances Walkways (min. 600mm), emergency exits, fire safety zones marked
Loading/Unloading Areas Raw material intake and finished product dispatch zones
Future Expansion Zones 20–25% reserved floor space for second press line or refinery addition
3D Conceptual Rendering Included for turnkey projects — ideal for investor presentations

Good Layout vs. Poor Layout: The Real Difference

The difference between a well-planned layout and a rushed one is measurable in throughput, safety incidents, and years of frustrating workarounds.

Material Flow Efficiency

How seeds, oil, and meal move through your plant

Poorly Planned

Operators must carry materials up/down stairs or across the facility. Cross-traffic causes bottlenecks and injuries. No gravity assistance = wasted energy.

SinoOil Optimized

Single-direction flow from seed intake to oil storage. Gravity-assisted oil drainage where possible. Result: 15–20% faster throughput, less labor per tonne.

Operator Safety

Protecting your team during daily operations

Poorly Planned

Machines too close together for safe maintenance. Emergency stops inaccessible. High-temperature areas (expellers, steam systems) poorly ventilated.

SinoOil Optimized

Minimum 600mm walkways around every press machine. Emergency stop placement at all operating positions. Ventilation planned for high-heat zones.

Future Expansion

Your ability to grow without rebuilding

Poorly Planned

All floor space filled immediately. Adding a second pressing line or refinery requires major construction, equipment moves, and production shutdown.

SinoOil Optimized

20–25% floor space reserved and marked for Phase 2 expansion. Utility stub-outs positioned for future connections. Expansion with zero interruption to Phase 1 production.

Our Layout Design Process — 5 Steps

From your first message to a complete, ready-to-build layout package in as little as 5 business days.

1

You Share Your Requirements

Send us your floor plan dimensions (or photos/measurements of your building), your daily capacity target in TPD, raw material type, and budget range. No CAD skills needed — a photo and dimensions is enough to start.

24-hour response guaranteed
2

We Analyze Your Situation

Our engineers determine the optimal equipment configuration for your capacity and raw material, then map the equipment against your available space, checking flow direction, utility locations, and safety clearance requirements.

Technical review: same day
3

We Draft Your Initial Layout

A 2D layout proposal is produced within 48 hours of receiving your inputs. This includes equipment positions, process flow arrows, utility routing sketch, and an initial equipment list with estimated dimensions.

Draft delivered: 24–48 hours
4

We Refine Based on Your Feedback

You review the draft and suggest changes — a different press position, a different entry point, additional storage. We turn around revisions within 24 hours. Most projects require 1–2 revision rounds.

Revisions: 1–2 rounds typical
5

Final Layout Package Delivered

You receive the complete layout package: 2D floor plan (PDF and/or DWG), elevation views, process flow diagram, equipment list with specifications, and utility requirements. Ready for construction and installation planning.

Full package: PDF + DWG available

Plant Layout Design — Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about our plant layout design process and deliverables.

Yes, plant layout design is provided free of charge with every equipment order from SinoOil Machinery. For clients who want a layout designed before committing to an equipment order, we provide a preliminary layout at no cost as part of our free plant design consultation. Contact us with your floor dimensions and capacity requirement and we will send a proposal within 48 hours.
We need: (1) Your available floor space — dimensions in meters, or photos/measurements of your building, (2) Your daily processing capacity in TPD (tonnes per day of raw material), (3) Your raw material type (peanut, soybean, sunflower, sesame, etc.), (4) Required output product (crude oil, refined oil, or both), (5) Any special requirements — expansion plans, specific utility availability, local building codes. With these inputs, we can produce an initial layout proposal within 24–48 hours.
Our layout designs are engineering-accurate to within ±50mm for equipment positioning. All dimensions account for actual equipment footprints (including maintenance clearances), recommended walkway widths (minimum 600mm), utility connection points, and local building code requirements where known. For high-precision projects, we can provide AutoCAD DWG files compatible with standard CAD software.
Minor modifications (±200mm on equipment positions, utility routing changes) can be accommodated during the manufacturing phase at no cost. Major layout changes (moving a processing section, changing flow direction) after order confirmation may affect manufacturing timelines. We strongly recommend finalizing the layout before placing the equipment order — our 48-hour turnaround on layout revisions makes this practical.
Standard deliverables are 2D engineering drawings (plan view + elevation views). For turnkey projects above 30 TPD, we provide 3D conceptual renderings generated in engineering visualization software. For very large projects (100 TPD+), we can provide detailed 3D models. 3D renderings are particularly useful for presenting the project to investors or building permit authorities.
